Summer Vacation (Is Over)

After relaxing at our favorite state park in Florida for about a month, we headed up the east coast to Savannah, Richmond, Washington, Philadelphia and NYC. Then our niece's wedding north of NYC and on to Ottawa to see Annie's family and friends. Finally back home via Chicago after a visit with Natalie and her fiance, Adam, in Paw Paw, Michigan. Once back in Denver, Annie was instrumental not only in getting more than $100,000 raised to build a new playground for our neighborhood park but also in arranging for it to be built totally by volunteers - in one day!

  1. :) Go get'em you guys! And Annie congratulations on pulling together the playground build. I think I recognized a certain eared young man in there, making a mark that will last a long time!

    1. Andrew,

The Playground Build was a huge amount of work for several months but worth every moment when we saw how many residents turned out to participate. The first ever neighborhood Family Fun Night/Ice Cream Social a few days later was a great occasion to dedicate the new playground and say thank you to so many people from so many groups who helped with the Build. Think the photo of the beared older man is a great one too, Andrew! Love ya, Sis

    1. Thanks for the compliment about the playground but it was only achieved because of the hard work of so many people from a variety of groups. Hoping now to build a new playground in the southern part of our neighborhood if we can get funding for it too. Keeping fingers crossed!

Love right back at you, CP!
